Support Those in Need: Donate to Workplace Dignity Center

We are in very contentious times, and this unusual and conflictual moment in our history is resulting in employees being terminated for doing things once viewed as safe within our society - such as exercising their right to free speech and association in nonviolent and threatening ways. Now cancel culture and doxxing activities are threatening the livelihoods, and even the lives, of employees who simply want to do good work and provide for their families. These citizens need our support during these turbulent times. A portion of all contributions received directly help individuals who have lost their jobs without just cause, providing essential financial support to help them regain their footing while they try to re-enter the workforce.

Who is eligible to apply for financial assistance grants?
Eligibility typically includes individuals who are currently unemployed, were terminated or downsized without just cause, and are actively seeking work.
How do I apply for a financial assistance grant?
To apply, send an inquiry via the form below. Someone will reach out to you to secure additional details. Ensure you provide accurate information to avoid delays. Typically, one grant is provided per month; the number and amount of grants will vary based on funds raised for the initiative.
What documents do I need to submit?
Common documents include proof of unemployment, a detailed narrative outlining the situation precipitating the unemployment, and the submission of bill(s) or financial assistance requests (cash is never given directly to recipients).
Does the grant have to be paid back?
While Workplace DC desires for grant recipients to repay the funds received, it is not a collection agency and does not engage in collections activity. Ideally, recipients will pay it back in order to pay it forward, because Workplace DC can only provide aid to people based on the generosity of its donors.
What other resources are available to transitioning individuals?
Periodically, paid and unpaid fellowships are made available exclusively for transitioning individuals. These fellowships are skill-building opportunities that also allow individuals to remain active and help avoid resume gaps while they pursue sustained remunerative employment in their field of choice. Keep an eye on our website for fellowship postings.
